Restaurant Depot has Seven Acrylic Skylight Domes Damaged in Hailstorm
In September of 2014, a severe hailstorm passed over Denver, CO dropping golfball sized hailstones. The storm caused an estimated $213.3 million in damages, the state’s 8th most expensive hailstorm on record.
Restaurant Depot, a whole food cash and carry food service supplier for restaurants, caterers and non-profits, have seven of their skylights broken in the storm.
We provided an initial free estimate trip to determine the extent of the damage and the best course of action. Finding the seven broken domes were beyond repair, we recommended replacing the skylights. To keep the appearance and light quality inside the building the same, we suggested replacing them with the same type of skylight: Sunoptics Prismatic Skylights Signature Series clear/white 64×76 dome skylights.
We then supplied and installed the replacement domes for Restaurant Depot. As an operating business location, we completed the work with little disturbance to the operations and customers in the building.
