A new National Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
Pikes Peak National Cemetery is a new 374-acre Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) national cemetery located in the southeast portion of Colorado Springs. The cemetery will serve the burial needs of more than 95,000 Veterans, their spouses and eligible family members for the next 100 years.
The cemetery was officially dedicated on 25 May 2018 and the first burials took place on 1 November 2018. n addition to gravesites, the cemetery will include other features such as a front entrance on Drennan Road, an administration building, a maintenance building, a flag pole assembly area, a memorial walkway, committal shelters, and a public information center with electronic gravesite locator and restrooms.
The Project:
We have been contracted by G&C Fab-Con, LLC to install three CPI Daylighting U-Lite custom canopies. These standing seam monolithic, translucent, polycarbonate panel systems bring daylighting into covered and adjoining spaces.
The steel support structure for the canopies has been erected by others. Skylight Specialists, Inc. will install the canopies on top of the structures.
