Installing the frame:
Architect: Western Design Group, Inc.
Builder: Mountain Plain Homes
Coordinating with the builder and Velux, we are able to begin the project with the arrival on site of the crate containing the frame and flashing components.
The frame is assembled on the ground and the curb flashing installed. A crane lifts the frame to the roof and it is attached to the curb. With the glass shipped separately, the opening is weatherproofed.
Installing the glass:
The glass for the skylight has been shipped separate from the frame and with its arrival, the challenging part of the installation can begin—setting the glass.
Using a crane, a special vacuum cup attachment and a highly skilled crew, our specialists set the glass units in place in the frame smoothly and efficiently. Caps and additional flashing installation and cleanup complete the project.
