Prairie Crossing Elementary School ridgelights are leaking.
The General Contractor, GE Johnson Construction Co., has hired Skylight Specialists, Inc. to repair some problem ridgelight skylights located over the main entrance hall of the school.

We will remove the old silicone and replace gasketing on both the interior and exterior while reusing the existing glazing. We will then recap with or MAGS Bar beauty caps. Eliminating the caps at the sills provides the same results.

The joint between the vertical glazing units has been treated and caulked as a butt joint. This improves water drainage at the joint—eliminating water pooling and a site for water penetration.
