Prestigious  Assisted Living Facility Required Dramatic Daylight Designs with Skylight Installation.

The Academy is a locally-owned, boutique retirement community in a spectacular setting in Boulder, Colorado. This small, quaint facility offers personalized services to their residents. The builder worked closely with the architect who wanted dramatic daylight for the penthouse units. They wanted transparency but with an insulation factor. The skylight installation was unique in appearance but still was a standard design.

What We Did:

  • Skylight Installation included  6’8″ x 14’9″ Skylight with Glazed Vertical ends.
  • Installed 6’8″ x 16’10” Skylight with Glazed Vertical ends. 12:12 pitch.
  • Installed (2) 4’8″ x 4’8″ Skylights
  • We insured that these skylights were properly fastened to well designed curbs so that the owners would have years of enjoyment without any worry of structural failure.

Product Used:

  • (1) Wasco Product Pinnacle 300 Skylight System. 6’8″ x 14’9″ Ridge Lite. 12:12 pitch.
  • (1) Wasco Product Pinnacle 300 Skylight System. 6’8″ x 16’10” Ridge Lite. 12:12 pitch.
  • (2) Wasco Products Pinnacle 300 Skylight System. 4’8″ X 4’8″ Pyramid. 12:12 pitch.
  • Glazing: 1 1/16″ IG; 1/4″ clear tempered Low E (2) over 5/16″ Heat strengthened laminate glass.
  • Aluminum finish was custom two-part finish.
  • The exterior was “Sandstone” and the interior was “Bone White”.
