The Centre Building was the former White House Department store, originally built in 1912, and beautifully restored to office use in 2011. The Centre offers over 104,000 square feet of Class A Office space.

The six existing pyramid skylights were experiencing the problems associated with age. Panel discoloration and grime blocking a good prtion of the daylight. Failure of sealants and associated leaks.

To address aging and leaks, we replaced the glazing on six 16ft x 16ft pyramid skylights. The process involved:

Precision Cutting: 1/4″ monolithic polycarbonate panels were custom-cut into the four specific geometric shapes required for the pyramid structure.

Advanced Weather-Sealing: High-grade adhesive-backed foam tape was applied to both the new panels and the aluminum compression bars.

Secure Installation: This dual-gasketing system ensures a watertight seal and allows for the natural thermal expansion of the polycarbonate, providing a long-term solution to previous sealant failures.

The new panels feature: UV2 Bronze outer glazing to help with heat gain and long-term clarity.
