Well past its useful service life, the Kalwall skylight is exhibiting extreme yellowing and fiber blooming. We will be replacing the unit with a Kingspan Light + Air single slope skylight with polycarbonate, dual panel, Quadwall glazing.

The crew has begun the replacement project by removing the two end panels to expose the substructure and assembling the new skylight frame.

The remainder of the fiberglass panels have been removed and sill flashing installation is proceeding.

Once the frame and flashing are installed, setting the new polycarbonate panels proceeds quickly!

Product Used:

(1) unit 4″ Quadwall single slope skylight – 9.50′ wide x 40.00′ long odc. 10.01′ on slope odc. 1202 sq. ft.

  1. I have a skylight that is giving us this same problem. The skylight is yellowing and accumilating dirt within the sky light between the fibgerglass sheets.

There are a total of 6 sky lights.
    Roughly 4′ 3 1/4″ by 10′ 10″ in length.

Is there anyway to sell us a better quality skylight so we can install? We are in NM.
