An onsite skylight survey and inspection was made on 3/22/2017 by Skylight Specialists, Inc., represented by Danny Packard.
Ballroom – Skylight Manufacturer: Velux
Seven 5’ x 6’ (nominal) acrylic, dome, curb mounted, original skylights.
- Glazing: Acrylic, clear, dual glazed, not fall protected.
- Structure: Adequate spacing and size structural aluminum frame.
- Anchors: Adequate anchor size and count around perimeter.
- Curbs: Adequate height and flashing in good shape.
- Evaluation: Replace the two cracked units.
- Flashing: Matches existing roof and in good condition.
- Rating: 6 of 10
- Expected Life Span: 5-10years.
- Recommendation: Replace the two skylights that have large cracks for the safety of patrons and workers.
Pool – Skylight Manufacturer: Oldcastle Building Envelopes
One 50′ x 13’ (nominal) glass, single slope, self-flashing, relatively new skylight.
In good shape, but dirty. 
Replacing teh caps with a butt joint would eliminate the damming. 
Eliminating the damming would result in a much cleaner appearance.
- Glazing: Tinted laminate, heat strengthened over laminate, Blue, insulated unit, fall protected.
- Structure: Adequate spacing and size structural aluminum frame.
- Anchors: Adequate anchor size and count around perimeter.
- Curbs: Adequate height and flashing in good shape.
- Evaluation: Skylight is in acceptable condition no work needed.
- Flashing: Matches existing roof and in good condition.
- Rating: 7.5 of 10
- Expected Life Span: 10-25 years.
- Recommendation: Remove horizontal caps and butt joint the glazing at some point in the future.24421
