Glass Replacement in Keystone, CO —
Condominium Owner In Oklahoma.
A Keystone, CO condo owner, who resides in Oklahoma, called to tell us she had three failed, broken glass units in a large 24 bay, sloped system. She was having a difficult time trying to find someone who could solve her glass replacement problem—until she called us.
STEEP Sloped Glass system, 5th floor unit.
The unit is on the 5th floor and on a very steep slope. This steep application makes it very difficult to change out failed or broken panes. The use of a large lift would increase the cost of the glass replacement significantly.
Fortunately, our specialists have the experience and expertise to perform these difficult jobs—and do it SAFELY!
Unfortunately, our initial inspection revealed an additional three failed glass units—for a total of six.
Glass Replacement:
- Remove affected glass units.
- Install new glass units.
- Reuse the existing clamping bars.
- Wet seal with structural sealant Dow Corning 795.
Product Used:
- Glass (details to follow).
- Dow Corning 795 silicone structural sealant.
Besides the increase in property value (Who wants to buy broken skylights?) the owner of this Keystone condo can be confident that:
- Her glass replacement was performed in a timely manner.
- Her skylights will again provide a beautiful sky view without unsightly cracks and water between failed units.
- Her skylights will not contribute to structural damage caused by water mitigation.
