The Little White Church was built in 1870 after the original Annandale Methodist Episcopal Church, as it was known then, burned down during the Civil War. The first public school in Annandale met in the lower level in the 1880s and 1890s.

In 1946, one hundred years after the construction of the original building, the large brick church at the top of the hill was dedicated on land donated by Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lynch. Additions were added in 1956 and again in 1966.

As is evident in the images below, the plastic panels on the single slope and ridge skylights have yellowed an extreme amount over the years.

The panels have also suffered hail damage which has been patched and some of the panels appear to be stained beyond the yellowing condition..

Replacing the plastic with new polycarbonate panels is a cost effective solution to cure most of the problems plaguing the skylights.

In addition, instead of using two panels on the slope of the ridge skylight eliminates dozens of possible leak sites in the years to come.

The pictures make it very obvious that the change in color/appearance is remarkable. What can’t be seen, is the exterior of the new polycarbonate panels has a layer of UV protection. This should reduce yellowing considerably.
