An onsite skylight survey and inspection was made on 4/4/2017 by Skylight Specialists, Inc., represented by Danny Packard.
Fire Place area – One (1) 8’ x 8’ (nominal) glass, pyramid, curb mount, original skylight.
- Glazing: Glass, heat strengthened over laminate, green, insulated unit, fall protected.
 - Structure: Adequate spacing and size structural aluminum frame.
 - Anchors: Adequate anchor size and count around perimeter.
 - Curbs: Adequate height and flashing in good shape.
 - Evaluation: Skylight is in acceptable condition no work needed.
 - Flashing: Metal flashing; adequate in condition.
 - Rating: 7 of 10
 - Expected Life Span: 10-25 years.
 - Recommendation: None.
 
Porte Cochere – Three (3) 4’ x 36’ (nominal) acrylic, barrel vault, curb mount, original skylight.
- Glazing: Acrylic, clear, single glazed, not fall protected.
 - Structure: Adequate spacing and size structural aluminum frame.
 - Anchors: Missing anchors.
 - Curbs: Adequate height. Skylight is too large for curbs and needs be resized.
 - Evaluation: Skylight is crazing and cracked and in poor condition.
 - Flashing: Matches existing roof and in good condition.
 - Rating: 2.5 of 10
 - Expected Life Span: 1-3 years.
 - Recommendation: All three skylights should be replaced due to numerous cracks and holes. Resize to fit curb size.
 
Bar – One (1) 7’ down slope x 38’ (nominal) glass with reflective film, single slope, structural, original skylight.
- Glazing: Glass with reflective film, heat strengthened over laminate, Green tint, insulated unit, fall protected.
 - Structure: Adequate spacing and size structural aluminum frame.
 - Anchors: Adequate anchor size and count around perimeter.
 - Curbs: N/A.
 - Flashing: Metal flashing; adequate in condition.
 - Evaluation: Skylight is in acceptable condition no work needed.
 - Rating: 7 of 10
 - Expected Life Span: 5-10 years.
 - Recommendation: None at this time – when it starts to leak at that time wet seal.
 
Back entrance – One (1) 6’ down slope x 34’ (nominal) glass, single slope, structural, original skylight.
- Glazing: Glass, heat strengthened over laminate, green tint, insulated unit, fall protected.
 - Structure: Adequate spacing and size structural aluminum frame.
 - Anchors: Adequate anchor size and count around perimeter.
 - Curbs: Adequate height and flashing in good shape.
 - Flashing: Adequate in condition.
 - Evaluation: Skylight is in acceptable but one pane is cracked and needs to be replaced.
 - Rating: 5 of 10
 - Expected Life Span: 5-10 years.
 - Recommendation: One pane of glass is cracked and needs to be replaced—wet seal entire skylight at time of replacement.
