Hilton Hotel Skylight Inspection and Certification
An onsite skylight survey and inspection was made on 3/14/2017 by Skylight Specialists, Inc., represented by Rob Packard.
The skylight was originally installed on curbs that are too low to the roof. This can be a problem during re-roofs. We recommend that a skylight expert be consulted prior to roof replacement to insure a successful transition between the roof and the skylight.
One (1) 12’ x 31’ (nominal) glass, segmented barrel vault, structural, original skylight.
- Glazing: Tinted laminate, bronze tint, single glazed, fall protected.
- Structure: Adequate spacing and size structural aluminum frame.
- Anchors: Adequate anchor size and count around perimeter.
- Curbs: Curbs low to roof.
- Evaluation: Skylight is in acceptable condition no work needed.
- Flashing: Metal flashing; adequate in condition.
- Rating: 8 of 10
- The skylight has been wet sealed within the last few years and should be maintenance free for the next five years, other than cleaning.
